Carp fishing doesn’t get much better than at Westfield Fishery private estate. Our 3.5 acre carp fishing lake has been purpose built to offer the angler the complete fishing experience. The carp lake, set in the Buckinghamshire farmland has a number of gravel bars, weed beds and lily’s offering a range of opportunities for either float or bottom fishing. Our coarse fishing lake also has a selection of smaller common carp and mirror carp.
Big Carp Fishing
The carp lake is well stocked with a range of common carp and mirror carp. For big carp our current record stands at 38lb (2015) but there are bigger fish in the lake, with over half a dozen 30+ lb fish. See just some of the fish in our gallery.
Exclusive Carp Fishing
If you are interested in hiring out the carp fishing lake for exclusive hire, we have a fantastic package available. We also have two brand new Shepherd’s Huts available for overnight accommodation, which are of wooden construction, well insulated and look out onto the lake for a beautiful panoramic view.
Pike Fishing
There are a number of 20lb + Pike in the lake that are ideal to catch in the late season over the Christmas period and into early spring. These weigh in at well over double figures and can provide a unique challenge to traditional carp fishing. We find the best baits are often stronger smelling fish such as herring and mackerel, you can also inject the bait with fish oil to give the bait additional flavour which the Pike pick up on.
Lake Access & Disabled Access
All swims are accessible by car for offloading purposes. Some swims offer additional flat ground behind them which is ideal if you are planning on staying overnight or for a few days. Swim 1 is flat and disabled friendly, ideal for wheelchair users. Our toilet and shower block also offers a disabled ramp and easy access.
